Caswell Family

Last Saturday evening, the weather was beautiful and so was this family! Little Kaylin is definitely a little girl with a big personality. She kept me smiling with her big vocabulary and cheers for LSU Tigers! Here's a peek for you, Marin! Enjoy!

And as you know, I always have a hard time deciding between a color version vs. a black & white, especially when it comes to selecting pictures to post. And this picture, I simply couldn't decide, so I'm posting it both ways. I love this image--I love the expression on her face and those big blue eyes!

Lily--6 Months

Oh, sweet little Lily! I first met her when she was a tiny newborn and she curled right up and slept on my chair. And now she is 6 months old! And instead of sleeping on my chair, she was much more interested in crawling right off of it! My, how fast they grow. I love being able to capture these milestone ages for sweet little ones!

And yes, her big brother is still as adoring as ever. We had to sneak in a picture with him as well. Talk about some beautiful children!

Thao & Pete--Maternity Session

I had the pleasure of meeting Thao & Pete on Friday evening. Thao wanted a chance to capture these sweet moments before their little one arrives. If I have ever seen someone glow with pregnancy, it would be Thao. She just looked gorgeous! And I don't think they could be more excited to meet their little girl in just a few short weeks. What an exciting time, I feel lucky I could capture these moments. Congratulations, Thao & Pete! I am so excited to meet little Amelie!

Erika & Jeff--10th Anniversary/Trash the Dress

I met Erika back in May, when I had the chance to take her family pictures. We have kept in touch since then, and this summer, she mentioned that she would be celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary this Fall. As part of the celebration, she and Jeff planned a trip to the Big Easy and she wanted to do a Trash the Dress session with her wedding dress from 10 years ago. So, would I be up for it? You betcha! So after months of emailing each other and creating a vision for this, we opted to start things off in an old New Orleans cemetery and then make our way over to the French Quarter. And boy, did we have a great time!

Two things to note--1: Props to Erika and Jeff for both being able to slip into their wedding attire from ten years ago without a hitch. It's safe to say I'd have trouble fitting into mine if I were to try the same thing. And 2: If there was a person who was completely cut out for a session such as this, it is most definitely Erika. She knew the kind of shots she wanted and wasn't afraid to get them. She jumped in a fountain, asked a man to borrow his bike, had her hair freshly dyed pink, etc. You get my drift. This was definitely up her alley! And since a marriage is forever, who needs the dress, right? I had a great time with these two and got to do a few things I'd not normally get the chance to do. Enjoy, Erika!

Count 'em up...that's 10, baby! And here's to many, many more! Happy Anniversary, ya lovebirds!

Lucy--One Year Portraits

Well, this little lady sure made my job easy...she never stopped smiling! What a little sweetheart she is and it's hard to believe she's already one. I've had the pleasure of photographing her since she was just a couple months old and it's been so fun to see her grow! What a beauty. Happy one year, Miss Lucy!
