I'm not sure if these boys could get any cuter. Seriously, folks...cuteness from head to toe. Our initial attempts to take pictures were thwarted by sickness and bad weather, and the third time was the charm and I'm so glad! I loved meeting up with these cute boys!

And now, I am going to be totally honest with you...as excited as I was to see Benson, I think it's safe to say he didn't share the same feelings. :) Taking pictures was definitely NOT on his agenda for the day! And we begged, pleaded, and bribed, but nope, nada, nothing...the picture above sums it up nicely! :) Then in one miraculous instance, there was a complete turn around and we had smiles and happiness, and there was a huge sigh of relief from me and his mom! Whew! I should've known he'd pull through! :)

It's hard to believe that's the long hot days of summer are fading and the days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler, and the weather is absolutely perfect for family pictures! It is definitely the time of year where my calendar starts filling up quickly, so I just want to remind any of you who are interested in booking a session for Fall, to contact me soon! I want to make sure I can fit in as many of you as possible. Saturday sessions book up the quickest and are already filling up, so if you are interested in a Saturday session, please contact me as soon as you can!

Also, for family sessions, the session needs to be completed by November 30 to ensure that I can get your CD finished and delivered to you with enough time for you to order holiday cards. This darling little family of 3 is about to become a family of 4 and they were brave enough to spend a STEAMY morning last week getting some pictures taken. And here we have my final photos from Idaho this summer. And what a way to end things! It was time to get an updated Thalgott family photo while we were there, so we did just that. If you've been following these Idaho posts, you are probably thinking 'wow, she has SUCH great relatives--on both sides!', and I couldn't agree with you more! I sure love these people. I am lucky to be a part of this family and am grateful for the time we were able to spend together. We certainly don't have a hard time making some great memories. Because, with four wild boys like these, it is a pretty easy thing to do!! Love you all!

Boy, oh boy...wasn't this fun?! (all of you family members are nodding in agreement, right?!) Here we have my ENTIRE family when we were all together in Idaho last month. It is a very rare occasion when every last one of us is there, so of course we figured it was high time for an updated picture. I think there were only 3 grandkids in the last family picture we had on the wall...now there are 15. Yes, that's right--15! All of them age 10 or under. So here we have 15 adults and 15 children and you can only imagine the craziness that ensued. But I really did think it was quite fun! Thankfully, I have a good tripod and we had a great helper so I could be in the picture too. I feel like it was nothing short of a miracle to have pulled this one off. :) And of course here are a few others from our day!

I am pretty sure that I have mentioned what a highlight it is for my family and I to go to Idaho each summer, and part of that highlight is seeing friends and family that we rarely get to see. Well....I'm back! And I will have oodles of pictures to share in the next little while. I hit the ground running after getting back from Idaho and was quickly thrown in to the thick of back -to-school and then had a super sick child on top of it all. Summer Availability Update

Just a quick update about my availability for the rest of the summer.

As usual, my family and I are headed to Idaho and will be there the last two weeks of July. Therefore, I will not be available for any sessions in the New Orleans area until mid-August (unless you have something scheduled with me already).

But if you are in the Southeastern Idaho, I have good news! I am taking a limited number of sessions while I am in Idaho. So, if you are interested in scheduling a session some time between July 18-29, shoot me an e-mail or give me a call. I'd love to meet up with you!

He has two darling bottom teeth and he is sitting up like a pro...so close to crawling! And of course, he still has those same beautiful blue eyes and killer smile. {sigh} Yes, he's pretty much perfect and we had a perfect morning to mark his 1/2 year milestone!

I felt so lucky to get to play with these little darlings one last time before they moved. We thought Eliza's newborn photos in December would be our last, but luckily we were able to squeeze in just one more! Now that Eliza is 6 months old, it was time to capture her cuteness once again. Oh boy, what a fun week it has been! I've had 3 newborn shoots in the last week and am so excited to start sharing them with you. So, first up is Mason. He is oh so sweet and mellow and oh so wide awake! :) This little one was definitely alert and aware of what was going on, but after awhile, he finally gave in and we got those sleepy shots we were hoping for. In the end, it was the perfect mix of sleepy and awake shots. What a beautiful baby!

The child session is for one child. For an additional child, please add $25. Session usually lasts for 45-60 minutes. I will edit the best 15 - 20 images in color and in black & white. You will receive these high res images on CD. Images on CD may be printed, at a printer of your choice, and you will receive the copyright release with your CD. Images on CD may be printed at a printer of your choice, and you will receive the copyright release with your CD. Family sessions include up to eight people. If session is needed for more than eight people, please contact me for pricing and details.

I am available to photograph events, bridals, individual headshots, and engagement sessions. If you are interested in any of these services, please contact me for pricing. Please note that all sessions will include a CD with high res images and copyright release!

{prints}
I am excited to offer high quality prints and canvases. If you are interested in placing your print order through me, please contact me for pricing. Sizes range from wallets to 20x30. Stretch and gallery wrap canvases are also available.

{important info}
*Session fee is due at the time of the session. Cash or check are acceptable forms of payment. Checks should be made out to Becky Thalgott.
*A sneak preview of pictures from your session will be posted to my blog for viewing approximately one week after the session. Sneak previews will only be posted with your consent, of course.
*Session fee includes all travel cost, unless travel is to an area out of the New Orleans Metropolitan area. For travel out of this area, please contact me for travel cost.
*Expect three weeks for editing. If you need it sooner, a $50.00 rush fee will be added.
*Your CD will be sent to your home address at the end of the three weeks.
*Please, feel free to share your online preview with friends and family.

Whew! I just got back from 3 wonderful weeks spent in Idaho, and boy did we have a great time! And boy, did I take a LOT of photos. :) I am going to be busy the next couple of weeks! But I had to hurry and get these pictures up to wish Mr. Gus a happy first birthday tomorrow. I know I might be biased, but seriously he is C-U-T-E! I am so glad I got to spend so much time with him in Idaho. There will be many many more pictures to come, and even more of his whole family, but for now--Happy 1st Birthday, Gus Gus!!

I have been lucky to know this family since my family moved to NOLA 4 years ago. And now I am so sad that their time in the Big Easy is done and they are off for new adventures in Texas (happy for them, sad for me, of course!). I have always been amazed at their story--they got married and moved to New Orleans the summer of 2005 and lost everything in Katrina two months later. They came back, started over, had two beautiful girls, and always showed up with a smile! They are such a great example to me and I am grateful to call them friends. I'm glad they wanted some pictures here before they left, so the French Quarter was the perfect location! Good luck to you all on your next big adventure (and may it be a little less "event" filled as the adventure you just completed)!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with little Miss Maeve last weekend and I still can't get over what a little sweetheart she is! It was so fun to see how much she's changed and grown since I first met her in January. She is at such a fun age for taking photos--sitting up great, but not running away from me yet. :) It was fabulous! And she did not disappoint in the smile department...seriously! She kept them coming the entire time, despite the hot and steamy weather. I knew it was going to be a great session when this photo below was the FIRST one I snapped for the day. Could you ask for more?!

As I was proofing pictures, I couldn't help but throw in this little outtake below...she had just gotten a Cheerio and was concentrating really hard on eating it and this is the picture I got. I love that little face!
And it was followed immediately by this shot...what a little darling she is!

I first met this little sweetheart when she was brand new and it's hard to believe she's already 6 months old! And of course, I thought she was cute and sweet as a newborn, but believe it or not, I think she's even sweeter now--she has to be THE most content baby I've ever been around. Not a peep out of her, she was just so happy and content the entire time. It was so fun seeing her (and her mom & dad, of course!) again. Happy half birthday, Amelie!

A few more pictures from my Idaho trip...this little darling is my newest niece and I was finally able to meet her on my trip! And oh boy, is she a cutie! My boys were in love with her the whole time we were there and her brothers absolutely adore her. And speaking of her brothers, they aren't so bad looking either, as you can see! :) She was at such a fun age for taking photos, I loved it! And believe it or not, we were in and out of snow flurries (in May!!) during part of our session too and she kept on smiling!

I got to meet up with little Miss Madeleine on her recent visit to New Orleans and boy, was it fun! She was one of the most smiley new babies I've photographed and not much has changed now that she's 10 months old. Just when I thought she was more than done with having her picture taken, she'd flash another one of her gorgeous smiles! And those big blue eyes...A-MAZING! This fun couple made a trip from California to New Orleans this month to visit family for Mardi Gras. And lucky for me, they felt like making time for a photo session while they were here. I loved meeting them! They kept me laughing and I had such a great time. I loved how natural and laid back they were--even down to the dancing in the street! And we did learn the in's & out's of parking in the French Quarter the weekend before Mardi Gras...but in the end, it was great because check it out--there are NO cars on those streets!
